Hi, I’m Sheena, voice behind She’s Wild about Hockey—a hockey-obsessed mom of three, payroll processing analyst by day, and full-time chaos coordinator at home (because apparently three kids and three dogs wasn’t quite enough action for one household).

I didn’t grow up dreaming about hockey or any sport for that matter. My hockey obsession didn’t start until my son started playing when he was in second grade. I pretty much immediately fell in love with the sport. The sounds of skates on ice, the late night practices, the team bonds, the small-town rinks, the big-league dreams—that’s the side of hockey that sticks with me.

This blog was born from a simple idea:

While most sports blogs focus on numbers, I’m here for the stories—the people behind the helmets. From youth hockey to the pros here in Minnesota, I want to highlight:

The families in the stands
The early mornings and long road trips
The history that shaped the game
The moments happening right now on the ice
And the personalities that make hockey what it is

I love connecting the past to the present—because every current game has roots in the players, teams, and traditions that came before it.

You won’t find deep stat breakdowns here… enough people are covering that stuff.

But you will find heart, humor, perspective, and a whole lot of love for the game.

When I’m not watching hockey, writing, or juggling life as a working mom, you’ll probably find me:

hanging out with my three kids
tripping over one of my three dogs
or reheating my coffee for the third time
